ARUBA AND DUCATI — PURE RACING ADRENALINE MADE IN ITALY
Aruba and Ducati have been racing together on the track since 2015. These two incredible Italian companies are partners in both sport and technology, and have been offering thrills to racing fans around the world.
A select team of 30 professionals who share a passion for engines, team Aruba. It Racing – Ducati travel the globe year after year to bring the team to victory.
This race season, returning rider Chaz Davies will be joined by newcomer and ex-motoGP rider Alvaro Bautista. Aruba. It Racing – Ducati will also be debuting their 2019 Ducati Panigale V4 R for WorldSBK 2019.
A bike Ducati declares has “racing in its DNA”, the Panigale V4 R was designed to go beyond limits and win the SBK world title. Its creation also signifies an important milestone for Ducati, as it is their first ever V4-powered road bike.
The team’s racers will ride the new bikes with the aim of recapturing the WorldSBK crown for Ducati.
“We’ll be working with only one aim in mind: to win,” said Gigi Dall’Igna about Ducati Corse’s WorldSBK program.
Chaz Davies, who struggled with back pain at the winter test, has said that he is now doing physiotherapy to return to full strength for the first round of the year.
“We had our first taste of the potential of the new bike, and what we’ve seen is amazing. It’s difficult to compare the new bike to the old one because this was designed for the track. It’s very easy to ride, and I was able to find the feeling with it very quickly. I’m very positive, and I can’t wait to race with it.”
“After so many years in MotoGP, I have a new challenge ahead of me. I’m really feeling motivated. In Ducati I have found a good family. They trust me, and I’m so happy to be here. I hope to have a lot of fun here, and I’ll try to do my best. I was really surprised after riding the WorldSBK machine. It’s very different riding it compared to the MotoGP, but the lap times are similar. You can be very fast with the Superbike too. Now we will see what will happen this year”.
