Who doesn’t like coffee, except for the tea lovers of course! No matter how much you may love coffee, you’ve got to agree with the fact that spilling coffee is one of the worst things that can happen. Why? Well, it’s because it is a cause of such stains that, at times, can be difficult to take care of. To make the lives of coffee lovers easier here are some of the methods that can be used to remove coffee stains:

The Good Old Beer

Have you spilt some of that favourite coffee of yours onto that expensive carpet? If you have, then there’s no need to fret, for the good, old beer has your back. Or were you of the idea that the only use of beer was to get your adrenaline pumping in the downtown pub? Well…anyways…the fact of the matter is that beer has got the ability to remove coffee stains out of your carpet. All that you need to do is pour a little beer right on top of the stain and allow it time to work its magic.

Rub the beer into the material of the carpet, gently. You’ll need to repeat this process a few times and the coffee stain will, eventually, disappear. But you know the biggest disadvantage that comes with the usage of this procedure? You’ll be wasting some quality beer on something as insignificant as a coffee stain!

Use the Salt

Are you in a café having a coffee with an old friend, with an important business meeting coming up in half an hour’s time? Have you accidently spilled coffee over your shirt because you couldn’t keep yourself restrained after your friend told you THAT joke? Have you just come to the realisation that you’ll have to attend the meeting with a coffee stained shirt? Well, just one question: is there salt nearby? If there is, then you’re in luck. All that you need to do is sprinkle salt over the coffee stain in a generous quantity and allow it to seep down into the fabric. Once the salt has had a chance to work, rub it off with a paper towel. This method will not get rid of the stain completely, but it WILL reduce the visibility of the stain and prevent it from spreading.

Take Out Some of That Smelly White Vinegar

White vinegar can be used to effectively get remove coffee stains that might exist on your clothing. The procedure, however, will depend upon the intensity of your coffee stain. If the stain is a small one and limited to a small spot on your clothing, then you’ll need to pat the stain with a towel that’s been drenched in white vinegar before putting it into the washing machine. If the coffee stain is a larger one, however, it’s advisable for you to soak your fabric, overnight, in a solution that comprises of 3 parts vinegar and 1 part water. Put the fabric into the washing machine and the next morning the coffee stain will, probably, be long gone. Be advised though that your dealings with white vinegar will…stink, to say the least. If you’re unaccustomed to its smell, therefore, it might prove to be an uphill task for you!

Baby Wipes Are More Useful Than You May Imagine

If you’ve just spilled some coffee but have a child at home then you’re, literally, in luck because chances are that you’ll have a box of the good, old baby wipes at your disposal. Baby wipes can prove to be very powerful accessories for the purpose of coffee stain removal, especially from carpets. Why? Well, it’s because they can absorb, both, liquid and the stain. Or did you think that baby wipes could only be used for the care of your baby? All you need to do is rub the coffee stain with a baby wipe and you’ll literally, be able to see the coffee stain blotting up until it exists no more!

The Magic of WD-40

The fact that the good, old WD-40 can be used to get rid of coffee stains, shouldn’t come as a surprise to a majority of the population, considering how WD-40 is useful in many circumstances. What differentiates WD-40 from its alternatives is that it’s able to get the coffee stains off of not only shirts, pants and carpets but leather, floor tiles and counters as well. It’s a big plus to have, don’t you think?

Regardless of the nature of the coffee stained material, all that you need to do is spray a little WD-40 onto the stain. Give it time to work and rub it off with a clean cloth or put the item in the washing machine. And…that’s it! Doing this is bound to get rid of, almost, all kinds of coffee stains that might be proving to be an eyesore. On top of it all, it’s of important to know that the removal of coffee stains is only a side function of this wonderful spray. It’s capable of giving you so much more.
