The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of motorsport’s biggest summer events, and from Thursday 4th July to Sunday 7th July, the 2019 World Rally Championship will be taking centre stage there.
This year’s event will celebrate drivers, riders and teams that have pushed themselves beyond their peers aiming for victory. From seasoned veterans to up-and-coming track-stars in the making, the Festival of Speed is motorsport’s ultimate summer garden party. An exhilarating, high-octane celebration of the world’s most glamorous sport.
The event will be held in the beautiful parkland surrounding Goodwood House. Nowhere else will get you so close to the cars and bikes as they blast up the Hillclimb track. It’s the ultimate opportunity to get up close and personal to the machines and the drivers who made them famous. The Goodwood Festival of Speed truly is one of the most stunning classic car events in the world.
As well as celebrating the life and career of the first-ever World Rally Champion Björn Waldegård, the Festival organisers have promised a feast of rally action from Thursday until Sunday. Ten cars from the Swede’s time in the sport have been assembled at Goodwood this year. This includes the 1974 Porsche 911 he drove on the Safari Rally. Six-time world champion Sébastien Ogier will draw a crowd in his Citroën C3 WRC. Ogier’s team-mate Esapekka Lappi will also be in attendance, along with M-Sport Ford World Rally Team star Elfyn Evans who drives his usual Ford Fiesta WRC.
Wd-40 are all set to make an appearance at Goodwood too, so we hope we’ll see some of you there!
