Water marks on mirrors can really make your bathroom look dirty and unappealing. If not removed correctly, they will leave the mirror with visible water mark streaks that often look a lot worse than before. This is not just with bathroom mirrors, home windows start to look worn out after a while if they are not tended to. How to remove hard water marks

Bathrooms, kitchen mirrors, and windows are the most common areas when it comes to hard water marks. There are many ways to get rid of these marks, however, if it is hard water marks, not every technique will work for you. Here are some steps you can follow for removing water marks from mirrors.


Step 1:


Make a solution of 50% of water and 50% of white vinegar.


Step 2:


Take a cloth or a towel and soak it in the solution you created in the previous step. Now use this to wipe away the spots. Make sure the cloth or towel remains wet throughout.


Step 3:


On tough areas. Press the cloth or towel on the area for a couple of minutes. The acidity of the vinegar will assist in softening the minerals with the hard water, which will make removing these marks easier.

How to remove hard water marks


There are other areas where these hard water marks can develop on large areas such as shower doors. It would be too time consuming to follow the method we went through above. For larger areas please follow the procedure below.


Step 1


Make a solution of 50% vinegar and 50% water, following this take a plastic spray bottle and pour the solution into it.


Step 2


Now spray the solution on to the hard water marks. Use a cloth or a towel to rub the mixture and break down the minerals in the water spots, making the marks easier to remove.


Step 4

With more stubborn water spots, you can loosen these with an old toothbrush. Brush the affected area vigorously until the water mark has removed.
